- Lilli joins techUK at an important time for health and care as government seeks to deliver care closer to home agenda
- The partnership aligns with Lilli’s ambitious growth plans to revolutionise care – building on success in several local authorities across the UK and upcoming direct to consumer launch
Lilli, the SaaS company using home monitoring technology to revolutionise care, today announces a partnership with techUK – the leading trade association that supports the growth of the UK tech sector. Working with techUK supports Lilli’s strategic priority of harnessing the power of digital and data to shift the health and care system across the country from a reactive to a proactive model.
To date, Lilli’s smart sensor and AI-based technology has supported thousands of families and professionals to deliver early interventions to support people to live more independently. Lilli works by discreetly tracking patterns of behaviour and key indicators of health - such as sleep, movement, eating, drinking and bathroom activity - to understand someone’s routine, and alerting carers to any changes. This allows professionals and families to safely monitor people’s health at home remotely through an app, while being on the front foot to proactively spot health decline and prevent crisis events.
Lilli and techUK will join forces to showcase the essential value of innovation in the health and care sector – and monitoring technology’s critical role in the government’s neighbourhood health ambition that wants to deliver care closer to home. Councils using Lilli to date, such as Medway, Gwynedd and Nottingham, have seen savings of up to £2m+ in one year, reduced hospital discharge delays by 16 days and significantly reduced residential care referrals by enabling people to live independently for longer.
Kelly Hudson, CEO at Lilli, comments: “We are really proud to be partnering with techUK – a leading voice across the technology sector. This signifies a further step forward in our commitment to transforming the health and care sector across the UK – helping to shift the model from one that is reactive, to proactive and preventative. We’re looking forward to working with likeminded organisations to show the true value and impact digital can have in the nation’s health and wellbeing.”
Georgina Maratheftis, Associate Director, Local Public Services, techUK, adds: “This partnership comes at an important time for techUK and Lilli as central government aims to modernise the NHS through the 10-Year Health Plan for England, and deliver the upcoming Casey Commission. Lilli is already delivering on the mission to drive care closer to home which is having a profound impact on the system, workforce and people – and importantly enabling better outcomes from people living safely in their own homes. We look forward to working closely with them to drive further innovation and positive change.”
This announcement comes as Lilli prepares to launch a consumer version of its award-winning lifestyle monitoring technology later this year.
